I don’t get the opportunity to hold senior sessions very often, but once in a while I book a session that makes me fall in love with that subject area! I was referred to Delaney by her sister who I had the pleasure of photographing for her engagement session and will be working with for their wedding next spring. The greatest compliment is having clients refer me to friends and family and it means the world to me!
I met Delaney, her mother and her sister in downtown Sioux Falls on a warm September afternoon. We chatted and laughed as we walked the trails and watched Delaney chase the ducks on the banks of the river! Her mother described her as a bit of a tom boy, and Delaney admitted to being a bit awkward in front of the camera but it couldn’t have been more the opposite. Her clothing choices, makeup and hair were complete perfection and this girl didn’t have a single bad angle. I don’t think we could have taken a bad photograph if we tried!
We ended the evening walking through the fields and splashing in the water at Arrowhead park in Sioux Falls where the sun drenched trees and skies were just as beautiful as this senior was!
Delaney is 17 years old and will be graduating in 2019. She stays very busy with her commitment to competitive cheer and dance, sideline cheer, track, and a few other extracurricular activities on the side. She enjoys spending time with her friends and driving around with the music turned up way too loud ( girl after my own heart ). After high school she plans to pursue a bachelors degree in sociology and hopes to move on to law school.
I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this girl!
